If you’ve been to this site before you know I’m a huge advocate of starting your day with a healthy smoothie. All you need is a few fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables and you have an energy-packed, low-calorie way to start your day. So let’s take a look at a new one I made the other day … my Mango Pineapple Smoothie Recipe.
I started off with some frozen fruits and vegetables, including mango, pineapple, strawberries, and spinach. I recommend buying the last two organic if you can find it, for the following reasons.
If you can’t get past the green color (I love it), just omit the spinach. But if you’ve never tried it, at least try it once and see what you think. Start off with just a little spinach or kale. You can’t even taste it, and it gives your smoothie a powerful nutritional boost.
This mango pineapple smoothie only weighs in at 107 calories too … including zero grams of fat! It’s awesome to drink in the morning, or before or after a workout.
So give it a try and let me know what you think!
